Member Competitions

The Colinton Castle Club Championship is open to all Colinton Castle members, contested in April each year. The format is knockout with A and B plate events for those knocked out in the first and second rounds.

The current champions are Chris Gray and Kim Byers.

There are two handicap scoring tournaments in Spring (May) and Autumn (October) each year.

Both are knockout competitions using par scoring with a single plate event for those eliminated in the first round.

The handicap tournaments give those playing at a lower level a great chance to beat the club’s top players, make finals and get their name on the silverware.

Mini-Leagues run on an ongoing basis. With 5 or 6 players in each league and promotion/relgation for the top/bottom players, the mini-leagues add some healthy competition to the regular club games and provide a way for new members to meet people and join in.

Each League period runs for 6 weeks and all standards of squash are catered for.

Colinton Castle Summer League runs throughout the summer months. 8 teams, made up of club members of all standards, take part in a league competition and play each other twice through the summer. Each player has a handicap based on their playing standard.

Each fixture features 4 matches with points earned for each game game won and the top 4 teams qualify for the knock out finale in September. All games take place at Colinton Castle.

The reigning champions are Team VFB.
